Background

Zxavian Harris grew up in Canton, Mississippi, and attended Germantown High School in nearby Gluckstadt, where he earned MHSAA 6A Defensive Player of the Year, Mississippi All-State, and was named to the 2021 Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen as one of the state's top 12 recruits, also lettering in basketball. A consensus four-star, ranked No. 125 nationally and No. 2 in Mississippi, he chose the Rebels over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, and Tennessee. He developed from 3 tackles as a freshman into a starter by 2023 when he posted 30 tackles, 3.5 TFL, and a conference-leading 3 blocked kicks, including a game-winning blocked field goal against Texas A&M and another in the Peach Bowl win over Penn State. He was pushed into a rotational role in 2024 behind transfer Walter Nolen but still posted 32 tackles. As a senior in 2025, he started all 15 games during Ole Miss's run to the CFP semifinal, recording 58 tackles, 9 TFL, 3 sacks, and his first career interception. Career totals: 122 tackles, 17.5 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 1 INT, and 6 blocked kicks, one shy of the all-time SEC record. He majored in multidisciplinary studies before declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft. Major note: Harris has documented off-field legal issues, including a 2023 arrest on charges including DUI and felony fleeing, and a 2024 domestic violence arrest.

Physical Attributes

6'8" and 330 lbs, but recently discovered he has a foot injury. Never something good on someone this size.

Data and Tape Analysis

Disclaimer up front: I really do not enjoy profiling people whom the authorities have charged with the crimes he has been. So today, I won't. Just know if your team drafts him the baggage it comes with, and hope that maybe getting him out of a situation he has grown up in could make him a better man.

Grade and Outlook

Zxavian Harris could very well be a difference-maker on the field, but he has to prove he can keep his health and actions in accordance with that. Until then, let him be someone else's problem.
